Need to get to the Truth?

When we find that we cannot make our ideas and plans real because of circumstances and forces we can’t control, we can react with frustration or take a step back, reconsider our aims, and ask ourselves if there is a simpler way forward.

By continuing to work away at investigating and understanding the situation behind surface appearances, we may gain skills of insight and concentration that suggest wholly new and far more productive paths, leaving our original plans (and the blocks to them) far behind.

Like polishing a stone with ever finer grades of grit until the inner pattern and luster are revealed, and we find that a piece of slingshot ammunition is now a thing of beauty and value.
