Always Trying to Please?

It can be tempting to frame what we do, what we say, and what we choose to express based on an idea of what it is others want to hear or see.

It may even seem to bring us some results. But there is an inbuilt limitation in this.

If what we do, what we say, and how we are do not align with our unique inner nature, the results will not engage our full capabilities. Such results will be unsatisfying to the extent that we have been persuaded to obscure or ignore our nature.

Focusing instead on what genuinely engages and moves us may not be something others see or understand, but over time brings results of greater depth and fulfillment. What matters is that you do the work you want to do, not what anyone else sees or thinks.
